Program Overview
Fall 2024 – Learning and Planning
- Fellows participate in a collaborative seminar, meeting regularly with a cohort of colleagues to explore key topics, including:
- Course Design – Strategies for building engaging and effective courses.
- Active Learning – Techniques to foster participation and deeper understanding.
- Inclusive Teaching – Tools to support equity and accessibility in classrooms.
- Teaching Assessments – Methods to gather and use feedback for improvement.
- Technology in Teaching – Approaches to integrate tools and platforms effectively.
- During this phase, Fellows will identify teaching and learning challenges in their courses or departments and propose a project to address them.
Spring 2025 – Implementation and Impact
- Fellows will:
- Implement their proposed projects, testing and refining ideas in real-world settings.
- Engage their departments, sharing strategies and outcomes to inspire change.
- Present their results to the ÍÃ×ÓÏÈÉú´«Ã½ÎÄ»¯×÷Æ· campus community, contributing to broader conversations about teaching innovation.
- Throughout the process, Fellows receive ongoing support and mentorship from ASSETT and CTL staff, ensuring they have the tools and resources needed for success.
Program Details
- Commitment: 1-year participation (Fall 2024 – Spring 2025).
- Support: $3,000 professional development award to support teaching innovations or research activities.
- Schedule: Eight seminar meetings (flexible attendance—in-person or via Zoom).
- Eligibility: Open to tenure-track faculty, instructors, and lecturers from all disciplines.
- Cohort Size: Up to 12 Fellows selected.
