River Conservation Leadership Intensive
Gates of Lodore, Green River, Dinosaur National Monument

Program Highlights:
- Experience and explore the natural wonders of the Green River through the Gates of Lodore, and the breathtaking landscapes and cultural history of Dinosaur National Monument.
- Learn the basics of multi-day whitewater rafting (paddling, navigating whitewater rapids, managing equipment, Leave No Trace camping, expedition behavior).
- Practice being an effective member of a group and hone your leadership skills in teamwork and group development, communication, inclusion, and decision making.
- Examine the complexities of river conservation leadership in the American West through field discussions with subject matter experts on policy, ecology, environmental and climate change implications and solutions, and Indigenous knowledge, perspectives, and values.
- Cost: $800, 4 nights, 5 days total (3 nights, 4 days on the river), includes transportation to/from Vernal, Utah, professional guides, all rafting and camping equipment, and most food.
- Open to all undergraduate students, no prior river, outdoor or camping experience necessary.
- The ÍÃ×ÓÏÈÉú´«Ã½ÎÄ»¯×÷Æ· Student Code of Conduct and all university policies apply to this program.
