Procedural Guidance for PI’s Departing ÍÃ×ÓÏÈÉú´«Ã½ÎÄ»¯×÷Æ·

The Office of Contracts and Grants is excited to announce that a comprehensive procedural statement and associated tools and forms are now available when a current ÍÃ×ÓÏÈÉú´«Ã½ÎÄ»¯×÷Æ· PI changes their relationship with the university – usually transferring to another institution. This documentation covers Roles & Responsibilities, Sponsored Projects, Property and Compliance considerations that arise across many campus units.

The process for a departing researcher is very in-depth and touches many people and units. These materials are intended to help everyone navigate the process successfully when a PI leaves the university. This guidance and respective tools were the collaborative effort of department research administrators and the following offices:

A new Researcher Departure Web Form will notify the appropriate administrative departments of a PI’s departure as soon as the departure is expected/known.
